Copper Chloride Staining

Copper chloride provides a rapid, nonpermanent method of staining proteins in polyacrylamide gels after electrophoresis. The reaction is complete in 5 min, is very sensitive, does not require destaining, and can be stored without loss of image. This protocol was adapted from Lee et al. (1987).
